One of my favorite things to do was lay in the grass with my buddies and watch the clouds float by. That always killed a few hours. Climbing trees was pretty popular too. Digging holes in the ground for no reason, building forts, looking for arrowheads, catching lightning bugs and feeding them to frogs. We had 3, 5, and fuzz on the antenna so I was never in the house.

Yep, did all that too... And played army with bb guns.. How we escaped losing eyes I'll never know. :laugh2:

Good fer 'ya. My matchbox toys are long gone. Wish I was able to keep some to show my kids a memento from my childhood days (which aren't exactly done either! haha).

Most of my stuff is still in my parents' basement. It's mostly destroyed junk now though, I liked to disassemble and modify. Blowing crap up with m-80's was fun too.

You must be around my age!

I won't tell if you won't.

My Cousins had most of what you describe AND Legos! I was so jealous! I got Lincoln Logs..............

Never had Legos, but I had Lincoln Logs when I was just a bitty guy. I still remember their scent, and the malachite green roof panels.

Hmm, what else...? Weapons-wise, I had a very authentic looking M-16 that made cool machine gun noises, and a big black bazooka that you pumped up and it shot a big ball of compressed air... my friends loved that thing.
