I have no idea if this is rare or not, But i havent seen another of its color and i cant identify it. Its a MiM Strat, from i believe 03-04. The finish is kinda like a light metallic satin finish if that makes any sense.

I snapped these pics this am, i can take new ones if needed. I had no idea how humid and hot it was when i went to take them, The lens on my camera was actually foggy for most of em. These were the only pics that even somewhat clear. I tryed taking a few inside, but it just makes the color look so completely different then it really is.

Thanks for any help.

I think it is Fender Chrome Red. But can't be sure because your pictures are pretty blurry.

Chrome Red sounds like a great way to describe my guitar. I will look into researching that Thanks, Ill try to get some better pictures taken when the weather is more cooperative.

I want to say Candy Apple, but it looks a bit too bright for that. Have you looked under the pickguard, they usually have a letter code somewhere for what finish it is (I think they mark the blank bodies, then put the finish on) "CAR" for candy apple red, I think "3TB" for 3 tone burst (havent checked in a while)

I'm thinking chrome red, because it looks a little different from what my old candy apple red Strat used to be. Whatever it is, I like that one you have.

Thank you,

I have seen alot of pictures of red strats and just cannot seem to find one that seems to match mine. I am sure alot of it is the photographs. I know its very hard to take one of mine without it looking vastly different. Mine is darker in person then even in these photos.

I check every time i go into a music store and cant seem to find one the same either. I almost wonder if its not a chrome or candy with just an odd finish to it. Most of the ones i see in pictures or in stores are always on the glossy side of things, and mine is most definitely not.

Whatever color it is, i really like that i haven't found a ton of others like it. I just assumed since it was my first guitar that it was just another "dime a dozen" low end Strat.

Let's be realistic at the end of the day its just a MiM strat, but I don't care what its worth, I don't sell gear. If its worth 5 grand or 5 dollars it will stay on my wall regardless as it was my first guitar. I just really wanted to find out what color it was because i haven't seen another, which in of itself means nothing.

It's red.
If there is a bit of flake, call it candy apple red.
If not, fiesta red.

I appreciate your attempts, candy apple is a possibility, but i dont think so based on pics i have seen . It is not even remotely near Fiesta red.

Your first sentence says otherwise..."I have no idea if this is rare or not, "

Your obviously being an asshole for some reason.

I have no idea if this is rare or not, because i cannot seem to find another like it, or determine its color.

Nowhere in there did i imply it WAS rare or special, it was a question to which i was hoping to find help for.

Do a google search for red strat and see what you come up with. Or better yet, Since you have done nothing but add smart ass remarks for no reason, you can stfu and stay out of my thread, Especially seeing in how thanks to people not being an asshole, the question of identifying the color has been resolved.
