I should snagged one of these when I had the chance. MF had them for $299 and I hesitated.....Actually I bought the Krank Rev Jr. 20 watt half stack because I wanted an effects loop. I still wish I had bought the LP jr. as well.

It is a sweet amp! I bought mine a month before the MF deal from Sweetwater for $399 and I thought that was a blowout!! Oh well. Gibson could have been selling these WAY more steadily if they had the price at about $500 or so from the beginning. Not $699!!!! That price scared many people away. I still can't get over how good this amp sounds. But hey, your Rev Jr. is a sick amp!!!! I wish I had one of those too!!!

I have a Marshall DSL100 but these days i go for my Fender Bassman RI LTD. It sounds awesome with the right tubes. I'm modding it to a ptp Hoffman board and a MM op tranny now.
Love that Carr Harpozep and yours Robster, i need one of them low-watters for practice. Or maybe i'll get an Ultimate Attenuator for my Bassman.
Shanti,
jo

I have a few different setups. A Marshall JCM900 100W head along with 4x12 Marshall cabinet for gigs. A piece of crap Fender Champion 110 for who the FFF knows what. Line 6 POD XT for jamming along with my computer and quick recordings, and a Vox AmPlug Metal for those times I don't feel like lots of cords and hassle.

I love that Superbass! Aren't those quite rare? At least, you don't see too many of those wearing JCM 800 clothing!

Not too many around as far as I know. I had it serviced by David Bray to 1959SLP specs(mod I). Sounds incredible, master volume was installed on backside(no drilling). Nails early ZZTop, AC/DC without pedals. Was selling it a while ago...glad I still have it :cool2:

That's my humble amp. It's not so small. Packs quite a punch. Very clear amp. Love it.

Would love a Marshall stack someday though!:slash:

Also posted in the same thread in the historic section:

I'm primarily using a Marshall DSL-100. I run it into either a Marshall 1960A Classic 4x12 cabinet, or into a Celestion V-30 mounted inside an isolation box.

In the studio for recording flexibility I also have a Pod XT running straight into the board, and in parallel into a Crate Powerblock amp in stereo feeding into two Avatar 1x12" cabinets fitted with Celestion V-30s.

That's a nice studio. :thumb:

I play through an early 90's Fender '63 Vibroverb RI. It is a great brown-face amp with two 10" speakers. It has a great sound, similar to a black-face but a little darker.

I also have a mid 90's Fender Blues Jr. which is one of the best sounding amps for recording - turn that baby up to 10 and the overdrive is as good as it gets -

So, yeah, when it comes to amps I'm a Fender guy.
