Were there black beauty + bigsby reissues before 2013?

I'm asking this for writing research, hoping you'll bear with me: my book character (a pro guitarist) is looking for a Les Paul reissue, worth at least US$8000 (new or used) in 2013 (when the story is set) and (obviously) available in 2013.

My heart is set on the Black Beauty reissue with bigsby vibrato just because it (the vibrato) is a little unusual, but it looks like that came out in about 2014.

Were there any of these reissues out before then? (NOTE: the ones I've seen are all well under $8000, at least today)

Otherwise, any ideas on a cool & beautiful LP for him to acquire that's worth about that price? He plays bluesy hard rock.

Mine was built in 2002.

57 reissue.
Three pickups and a Bigsby.

If I recall, the list price on that particular guitar was over $5,000.
If my memory serves me well, by the time I bought it from a collection in 2010 the list on a new one was $7,200.

And, yes, many of those limited run guitars were selling for list price to people foolish enough to pay it.
Hey, if you just gotta have it...

I think the vibramate was available back then. I had a 3-pickup gold 57 LPC and added a gold B7 vibramate

There wasn't many re-issues selling for $8k in 2013 or earlier..........only artists runs, signature, and collectors choice models.

The Jimmy Page Black Beauty signature re-issue in 2008 might fit the bill.

Thanks for your response. I think I may have to change the amount to $6000 to be more realistic for BB in general.

My character is a Page fan (of course) and I'm seeing this guitar going for $8k-$25k over the last few years, so $8K in 2013 is plausible. I'll google what makes this one special compared with the other Black Beauty reissues so I can say a word or two about it in the story.
