I was waiting on the Logo to get finished so that I could post that along with the duo name . I had some awesome names recommended to me from some of you the past two weeks , Some were almost game changers for me . I stopped in my tracks on a couple of them , “Naught Heads” was phenomenal ! I almost stopped the presses for that one but I forged ahead with this name .
Remember I posted a hint of a “Nickel” ? It’s something I didnt know myself at the time and was informed that a Nickel is a type of green woodpecker . That laid the basis for our logo mascot . The name is a play on words also ,
Backstagers , I want to introduce you to : Wood & Nickel
Why this name ? First , its safe for putting on a business card and customized picks to hand out to booking agents at wineries , upscale restaurants, and microbreweries . It will not offend anyone . Second , the play on words is going to be recognized by guitar players as Acoustic Guitars and Nickel Strings . Third , Old Schoolers will remember the sage advice when they were sent out into the world to conduct affairs and not get screwed over . Remember this expression from your parents ( I know I did ) “ Go make the world your own and don’t take any wooden nickels !” In other words don’t get screwed over ,
Its a safe duo name and we needed to distinguish ourselves from any more duos in that region of NC/SC . Nobody in that region is called this name , If it happens that we are wrong , then screw it ,, we are the Naught Heads !!!
I have been trying for a while to upload the logo, but my thread post says its too large of a file to post it . So if you want to see it ,send a request via I M to Me here and I will forward it to you if I can get it to upload , otherwise send me your email and I will email it to you . ( You can trust me ,,, I’m not setting you up for any dick pics !!! Lol ) … plus ,when the customized picks arrive , I will send you one if you request it ,, I will post it when the picks arrive , but look for them to arrive in 2022 .
Again , I appreciate your patience in waiting , I haven’t been trying to jerk you around ( as I was accused of by a poster ,who will remain nameless ,I do feel your frustration and I forgive you ten times over for your post . I was waiting on someone to return from vacation to finish the logo .
I can tell you I spent many moments doubled over laughing at some of the duo name suggestions that were sent my way .It only reinforces the reason I love being on this Backstage Forum .
