Hey everybody, i've been creepin around this board for a few weeks now, and
since it's already been very helpful and informative for me, I finally decided to
get a profile and introduce myself.

I've been playing (at least with any degree of seriousness) for about 2 years
now i think, and i just got my first Epi les paul for christmas.

It's the "Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Walnut"

:) And it's a big step up from the squire strat which i bought from a friend for
fifteen bucks lol (though i still love that guitar lol)

Thanks! and yeah, the squire's a lil beat up, but it plays! i plan on giving it a bit of an overhaul at some point, but i'm not really experienced with modding anything electronic (and a pickup replacement would be nice :D). And plus, i'd like to kinda do any mods on the squire first, to get a feel for it (at least for soldering and whatnot) before i attempt anything similar on the epi.

thanks! Everything on it was in good shape when i got it, except the knobs for neck pickup were kinda loose, would kinda scoot a little bit past their stops, because the pots weren't tightened all the way to the body :/ no big deal though, easy fix lol

Welcome, and nice guitar. I almost pulled the trigger on one before Christmas, but I just rebuilt the rear axle in my Cherokee. MF had them on sale for 299...

yeah, that's where mine was purchased. sweet deal really, seems like the cheapest fully featured (i think) paul you can buy, and with a unique wood and finish.

And thanks! lol

An excellent choice.
I was just about to buy the exact same thing until I stumbled across an Epiphone Custom Les Paul in a Flametop Orange.
I've always loved that "Natural Color".
But hey...anything Epiphone is good.
Happy New Years!
Roger
