Pretty cool so far, graphics are better on the ps3 then I feared they'd be. It's definitely on par with GTA5.

..doesn't feel like Chicago so far though. Not gridded enough,..though maybe that's boring in a game so they have to bend the roads around.

And the streetlights at night aren't orange,..they gotta be orange,..that's Chicago.

..so driving at night so far just feels like GTA or something,..no orange hue over things and it just doesn't feel like Chicago. Sorry Ubisoft, dropped the ball there. Walking around during the day has a Chicago feel. ..and the weather and stuff feels right.

I'm really amazed how deep the control system, cover system, hacking system, and upgrade system is. When walking around and stuff it doesn't feel like GTA, .. almost more like an action RPG. ..it almost forces you to walk around and take things in instead of just running and jumping everywhere.

Interesting too is how unlocking the towers is almost like a little puzzle in how to get to them and such. Using the cameras and stuff.

Neat game so far,..and bonus points for making me shudder when I read "Personal Privacy Invasion Points" when I was checking out the city map. :laugh2: what a weird.....whatever.

....I do find it funny that the hero of the game so far is a guy who walks around staring down at his cell phone.

Not exactly Uncharted. :laugh2:

Too bad you're not playing on Xbox One, we could have gone head to head on a tailing or hacking operation. Loving that part of the game so far.

Nothing says "I'm a victim: your legal prey: hit me!" Like a distracted unaware of their surroundings tourist.

Remember what a "New York Minute" really was?

The time it took for a mid-town Manhatten tourist couple to leave their hotel: until they were beaten and robbed!

My son is playing this, he's liking it so far.

He's also found a way to cheat which I found funny given the subject of the game.....

There is an android app for WD which lets you direct the police on another player's game. He's controlling the 5-0 on his own game :laugh2:

Nice mini review. I've played Uncharted 2 and Far Cry 3 and this looks very interesting. I've always preferred games that take place in urban environments rather than jungles. Prolly get it after I finish my current game. ^ ^

it almost reminds me of Splinter Cell, just more action.

It's unique, pretty cool so far. It's a sandbox game but it brings its own feel to the table and a level system that's almost RPG'ish.

it has tons of missions and mini games and stuff like GTA or Saints Row.

one of the mini games is called Spider-Tank and it's awesome. The feel and animation of the spider moving is really awesome. Jumping from building to building and turning in the air and stuff is really cool ..you can tell a lot of work went into the way it moves and handles, and that's just a mini game.

So it's a well done game. I'm getting a little bit of pop up here and there, but that might just be a ps3 thing.

Definitely very cool once you get the hang of and a feel for the controls. ...takes a little getting used to.

The only recent Tom Clancy game I've played is Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, and that was a great tactical shooter.

Thanks! That looks really fun! Shades of Shirow!

those lights aren't orange!!! They're HPS, and they're perfect for replicating the waning days of the summer sun, providing a gentle reminder to your girls that it's time to start throwing those flowers!!!!

I liked it, didn't love it. Beat it within the week it came out, thought the story was really cliche but kept me interested enough to beat it, so i guess they where doing something right.

Love the controls. the stealth and combat are really strong (usually it's one or another in games) and the ability to take down an objective without even being in the area is pretty effing cool.

Driving mechanic though, goddamn, made me pine for the terrible driving mechanic of GTA IV!

The multiplayer i haven't figured out yet, though when i was getting close to the end of the game i was about to enter a mission and some jack off rammed into me and tried shooting me, i capped him then immediately turned online invasion off.

I like a lot of what they did, it's a unique game, that in it's self is something to be proud of ubi. That said, i don't feel compelled at all to keep playing after i finished the main campaign (same with GTA V) and I found that I had very little investment in the characters.

I'd give it a 7/10

I still didn't pick it up (got a XB1 recently with some other games), but WD looks great from what I've seen in videos.

How are you all liking the online gameplay?

I don't particularly like people popping into my game and having to play hide n seek with them at random

I'm sure you can turn off that feature, or just refuse the mission.

..it's interesting the interactivity they've built into the game,..using your actual mobile phone to control things in the game with the cTos app, "hacking" into other peoples games, etc.

This is a pretty bold and ambitious game when you step back and look at it all.

I still haven't tried any of the online multiplayer stuff (beyond someone popping in my game and hacking me), but it's getting good reviews.

From what I've seen/played and judging by the reaction of some of my friends who played more than I did this guy sums it up nicely

Yes. AKA hacking but, like Pen Testing is a legal and a professional way of saying it. :)
