I was doing some research and found a website with a huge list of documentaries, including SICKO.

Other categories include documentaries on war, environment, political, assination, banking, election, and human rights to name a few. But since health care is a hot topic now I though others would enjoy the site and movie.

Let me guess, you're another one who has never actually seen any of his films, correct?

It’s amazing how some people are absolutely terrified to learn that one of their precious thoughts might be subjected to personal critical thinking after reading or viewing a film, thus challenging them to change the thoughts in their once previously closed mind.

Not every problem can be solved by either ignoring or bombing it.

I just saw the first minute of the trailer, but I'll check the rest later when I'm not multi-tasking. That clip in the beginning with the chick whose ambulance ride to the hospital wasn't pre-approved got me sizzled a little.

This is getting good. I love this one: Any payment for a medical claim is referred to as a medical loss...that's the terminology the industry uses... Evil bastards!

Australia has a fantastic FREE public health system - you get critically ill and you WILL receive the best available medical treatment - rich or poor.

The only difference with having health care insurance is - you jump the (shortish) waiting lists for elective (non critical) surgery; you can bring in your own specialist when in hospital. Some other minor advantages.

Every tax payer pays a levee for this privilege - I think it's about $650 a year or so (?? I can't remember exactly, it comes automatically out of the tax I pay every pay day).

Nothing to do with Michael Moore except as I recall he talks about this stuff in Sicko. The thing is that the Australian public health system was designed around accessible for everyone, and the US system wasn't. It costs a lot to set up, but seems to work well enough in practice here. I have had a couple of my kids spend periods of time in hospital for non life threatening issues. It was all free, and I have nothing but praise for the medical staff.

If there is verifiable data in a movie, documentary, or presentation, from anyone... and you haven't heard it before, you have gained something. I try not to watch anything without fact checking later before I render an opinion. The truth is everybody has an agenda. To turn down knowledge because of the source is not wise.

So I do read 'Prada', or 'the Peoples Daily', or even FOX and the BBC. Then attempt to verify what they push. They all have agendas, just like Rush and his kind.
