Don LP, that guitar has been around for years. You just now noticed it? I used to have an original bullseye. It was a pretty nice guitar.

Think about how Air Jordan's used to sell out the second they hit the stores! They could have (and did) polished a set of turds and threw them in a Nike box and people would still buy them so long as those turds has the Jordan logo on them.

Zakk's a great guitar player but there's a sucker born every minute, that's why signature guitars sell so well.

Gibson/Epiphone has catered to that and every one and their dog has a signature model, even made a copy of a guitar that's been missing for 45 years.

Definitely not my cup of tea, the only signature my guitars need on it is Les Paul.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I was just google'ing around because I am interested in this guitar and I just want to say there are a lot of a$$holes in this here. Obviously this guitar is far from the classic LP look, but that doesn't mean there is anything "wrong" with it like most you elitist snobs are going on about. Nor does it mean everyone who buys it is just a Zakk fanboy. I personally am not too big a fan of Zakk AND I usually hate camo on anything.. BUT I think this guitar looks sweet as hell and it plays like a f*cking beast

All this can come down to is "to each their own," because as long as the guitar plays well (it does) there is no reason for all you to be such pricks about it. This may be the only guitar forum I've ever come across that has so much hate to go around and I just don't understand it. Sounds like a bunch of children upset because of how some kid came dressed to school. Live & let play you judgmental bastards

Yes, I am sorry for being "that guy" who brings up a year old topic, as I'm well aware of forum etiquette. That's why I said it. Are the things people are saying in here going to effect my purchase of this guitar? No. However, yes, I felt the urge to comment on all the hate surging through this thread just because of a freakin paintjob and the way people are making baseless judgements about people who buy this guitar. Do you really not see the blatant levels of immaturity and bigotry? And you wonder why someone who is interested in this guitar would care enough to comment? Because it took a whole couple minutes of my time and I felt it was something that needed to be said. That's what forums are for. This entire thread sounds like a bunch of children making fun of what some kid at school decides to wear and it just makes me shake my head. It's a quality guitar that more than gets the job done for those who play the genre it was crafted for.. Who the f*** cares about the paintjob and who are you all to be outright criticizing and cutting people down because they have a difference of opinion when it comes COSMETICS?

I re-read this entire thread. From where I stand its about 50/50 like it and don't like it.

I didn't find any post that would warrant calling any one of the posters a prick or asshole or elitist snob. This is a simple thread of a handful of people commenting with their opinion of a guitar.

It appears you are the only one in this thread making personal attacks against people over expressing their opinion.

Okay. "to each their own."
This guitar is obviously not some people's ideal guitar. Yet you say they're "pricks" because you are infatuated with it and they are not.
First, I'll be one of the first to admit that I do respect Zakk and his style, even though his style is nowhere near mine. (I try to stay away from shredding and a pinch harmonic every third note.)


Second, you're pretty much calling everyone that doesn't want to own/doesn't like this particular guitar a prick. There's no reason for that. Who around here has called you a prick for not wanting a guitar that looks like Pearly Gates? Or Ace's Budokan? Or Slash's AFD?


My point is, basically, a more tolerant view of yours.

I also don't call people "pricks" for not liking the guitars that I like. Or the ones I own, for that matter.
My #1 is a 2002 Studio Deluxe MiK.
Upgrades? GFS EVH pups (double whites in a full-out Ebony guitar? Hell yes), a nice set of white speed knobs, and a Switchcraft switch because the stock switch snapped off at a point where I could no longer switch without using my picks.
