VOX amps and the Blues....

I had an ac15c1 for a few years. The cut knob on amp along with the guitar tone allowed me to tone the high end down enough to get a good blues sound. I've always played an SG, so if youre using a strat....might be harder.

I love (classic) VOX amps but I cannot use them for playing the Blues
To such a statement, I can only say that the reported inability is wrongly put on the amp's choice.

I think he is meaning 'if you can't make it work for blues its not the amp'

I'd agree. Blues is a type of music, not a tone.

Especially once you've heard Doug and Pat and that Ac10 SRT

I read about lots of players who want a VOX to sound like a Fender or even a Marshall. Really not going to happen...

Right, because who says blues require a certain amp or a certain guitar? Some of the best blues playing I ever heard was when I was a kid, 12 or 13, and I saw a guy playing an old beat up Danelectro through a portable TV set.
