Vintage wiring harnesses (so many options!)

Sup guys, fairly new to messing with electronics in my Trad LP. I'm wondering what your feelings are regarding the many different options out here for 50s wiring harnesses. I've read a bit about Jonesy, MSSC, Guitarworks, RS

What do I doooooo! How do you guys feel about the value of the parts for the price, level of service, most importantly TONE. Any feedback you can provide would be amazing. If this type of thread has been done before please hit me up with a link, I did a search and wasn't able to find something like a 'kit shootout'.

I recently put a vintage Explorer kit (not prewired) from RS guitarworks into my cheap Hamer Sunburst XT and it is fantastic, the Superpots are exactly as described, useable range all the way down to silence, the tonepot with the Jensen PIO cap works great, again a huge improvement over the stock electronics. On the treble PU I sometimes dial the tone back to 3 and still get an open sound, just reduced highs but not mud. I'm very happy about my purchase. I also did change to better PU's but I can tell that the controls just work so much better now.

I now have used 3 les Paul and 2 Tele harnesses from Martin Six Sting Customs and every one has been top notch. The craftmanship is superb.

Who ever you go be as descriptive as you can when describing what she is good at and where she lacks, "the neck tone gets too dark as I roll back..." / "The Bridge is a little too compressed: etc...

This will help them decide what is best for you. Generally the all use good stuff in MLPF, Martin, RS, Jonsey, BB... for me Jonesy is the man only because he has always been so kind to me, always has an answer the bugger Though I have no buying experience from the other gurus, they always have great advice and products, how well they nail your sound is partly up to your needs and ability to recognize them

My experience of having a harness from Martin six string customs put in my already good sounding stock '03' historic was a very good one,far more responsive control. I guess in the past I learned to get along with modern wiring with this guitar and didn't realize an improvement this big(to me) could be made on a high end guitar.(hard headed me).There are true high quality vendors on this site and I think I'm going to see what MSSC can do with my already good sounding Les Paul(pancake)Deluxe.

I put a martin six strings holy grail and toggle switch harness in my 2001 standard plus and I personally can't even describe how much the guitar opened up. Much more usable tones, more treble when I need it, much smoother, better pot tension, etc. Also, I ordered on thanksgiving and some how it was here the second business day after I ordered 2900 miles away. Going to 50's wiring and 500k pots is night and day! I bought the guitar new and am disappointed I didn't do it earlier. Dude, sweet flames!!!

I have used RS and Jonesy and next will be from MSSC. Each vendor has some special viewpoint but they all share the same goal; a happy guitar-playin' customer. If you stick with these vendors( there are some more good guys who do not happen to play in this sandbox too) you will be able to concentrate on the things that you enjoy like playing and impressing chicks; or, at my age, trying to stay awake past 7:30 pm while deleting enlargement or Viagra/Cialis spam from my junk mail. They all have too much interest in my own personal trussrod!! ( a two-way model)
