Insane! Would love to hear the story behind this one.
I'd rather spend 10k on this than on some limited edition collectors choice that some folks put behind glass because playing might devalue it.

Cool old guitar. However, for that money, I'd rather buy four or more newer, used LPs and apply the mojo myself.
I'd probably go with one old one, but seems a lot of money to me given the changed parts, and the non-functioning tone control for the neck pickup. Looks like a pancake, so probably pretty hefty, but they were cool guitars.

It's definitely been messed with under the hood. The currently installed Bumblebee's are not stock.

FWIW - I think the seller is high with the price considering the condition.

I don't buy into the 68/69 mystique...but a lot of people sure do...so, there ya go.
a cool guitar but not $10k cool

the myth that 68/69 were built from left over 50's bodies i wanted to believe until i did some reading....

save your pennies and go for the 54-56 for $15k and up if you want 50's wood

im kickin my ass for thinking $7k -$10k was too much for a 50's husk.....have not seen one in a few years in that range:(

Looks like it saw a lot of heat / humidity. Nice old guitar though priced a bit high IMHO.

"Condition: New" - LOL!
