So, I've been toying with the idea of trading my 2014 1959 ES 335 and R9 in for a vintage 59 ES 345. I've never played one but I've heard they are really great guitars, especially the early ones with the black poker chip.
So, am I crazy? I know, before I pull the trigger I should actually play one but I feel like if I have one good PAF inspired guitar I'll be happy. The thing is that I'll probably miss the two I'll trade, but I think I'm ready to consolidate my collection into only vintage pieces.
You guys have any advice for me? How much do they go for? I know I won't get much of a break in the price if I do a trade, but any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks!
