number 2, but both have their merits. The Number two sounds darker, more complex, but as others have said, lacks the same bite and clarity as 1. Nice that there is a difference, let's face it!

it's tough but I think #1. I like a slightly bright but not brash and shrill guitar tone, one that cuts thru but isn't tinny yet still has some balls to it. This one has it. Also in look department the #1 wins again. Both are close and #2 is a bit deeper but still has the brights. Great playin too, I wish I could get my hands on either of these to take on a test drive!

Great post. Awesome playing on both. I can't decide, they both sound great and are beautiful. I guess I'm leaning more towards #1 though solely based on looks.

#1 sounds better.

#2 sounds nice in spots but overall too muddy. It also didn't sound much like Page's guitar in the middle position.

It is stock; tunes may be another brand but they are the same as the stock ones; can not remember, but they may be EL34s.......i don't think they are 5881s. speakers are stock

The key is having a 100 watt Marshall (4 tubes) and the Marshall power brake. nuff said
