So I have chance locally of this USA 2015 loaded Strat body with a 2001 MIM neck as part of a trade in that will stand me at £400.
Story goes that the original USA neck, pictured, has truss rod issues, so he had the MIM one fitted. Just wanting to verify the USA body to be sure if it's genuine. Not sure if the guy will want to dismantle it to check for me, so any comments would be appreciated. Cheers guys

I'll ask him about that. How can you tell by the pics? Would the mim neck not be an exact fit to start with?

Here's some close ups of the neck pocket. He said Luthier said it was a straight forward swap

MIM neck may need a bit of fret dressing on the ends. Mine , I wasn't too worried about the finish on the neck. So I laid a a metal file on the ends and ran it up and down the neck a bit. Don't take much. IMO I like the feel of a MIM neck over the American. Feels more like the 60's Musicmaster I learned on.
