I had an idea a while back for a larger LP that would be a better fit for bigger guys like myself. I've owned a few LPs and was never totally comfy with the fit, so I thought a LP body that was scaled up 10 - 20% (closer to the size of an ES-139) might hit the sweet spot. Naturally it would have to be weight-relieved otherwise it'd weigh a ton. Just wondering if there might be any interest in such a thing - Gibson could call it the LP Max or something like that.

Great idea! Legend has it that big guys like Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrell liked those big Gibson L-5s and Super 400s because they were a good fit for their size. Myself, standing a towering 5' 8", have made a template scaling down a LP by about 1/2 inch all around. Haven't built anything to that pattern yet, but I'm thinking maybe of equipping it with a Bigsby and P-90's for a hybrid sort of Gibson/Mosrite Ventures vibe. Dreaming of that and about 500 other projects I'd like to build, lol!
