So, I stop into Music Go Round (they sell used gear) because I have never made it in there before, and figured I would buzz through really quick and head home. I am immediately drawn to the white '07 Studio hanging up on the wall. I have wanted a white Studio for quite some time, but never really got around to picking one up.
The guy hands it to me, and I start checking it out. It is just about completely cream colored at this point, and is completely spotless, minus a small scratch on the pickguard. No dings, dents, scratches, nothing. The gold hardware is starting to age nicely. I sit down and play a little. It has new strings and is set up very well, and plays very smoothly. Plug it in, everything works as it should.
What they were asking was probably a few hundred under what they could have been considering the pristine condition. I ask to see the case, and it literally looks brand new, I can't believe that it's ten years old! This baby was in a closet for the last decade. I was not leaving without it!
This thing is a rock monster! Loud and proud! I have traditionally not cared for the 498/490s, but they sound amazing in this beast. It is a nice compliment to my Plaintop Trad with it's '57s.
Anyway, here she is:
