1998 Les Paul DC Standard - Limited Edition burst

The first run of the DC Standards, with bound neck and super-flamey tops. Most are single-colour translucent, but this is one of the 'tangerine bursts' that Gibson called Limited Edition.

498T and 490R with an added phase switch on a push-pull Tone knob. Tonepros locking bridge, tailpiece and locking grovers. One small chip on the back edge of the guitar, otherwise in superb shape. With original hard case.

Very reluctant sale and will probably be withdrawn if not sold by the time I go on holiday to Vegas on 23 Aug. Original pickup covers are included as is the original tan case with pink lining. The only thing that’s not original is the genuine Gibson guard which I purchased as the original was lost by a previous owner.

Neck dates June 65 and pots week 34 1965 which was 23 August.

I am selling a rare Modern Eagle ll with a thin Nitro-cellulose gloss finish, handcrafted with Premium Selected woods and basically as good as a Private Stock.

It has a gorgeous one-piece highly figured carved Heartwood maple top with a fiddleback flame, lightweight one-piece solid mahogany back, solid Dalbergia black rosewood neck, stunning Dalbergia black rosewood fretboard with green abalone with paua centre bird inlays, sought after low-wind early 57/08 humbuckers, hybrid gold/nickel hardware, PRS Phase 2 locking tuners and a push/pull on the tone knob for coil-splitting.

It has a Wide-Fat neck profile and the fretboard has a 10” radius and 22 frets.

It comes with a truly magnificent PRS paisley hardcase, eagle hangtag with handwritten specs, leaflets and tools.

It weighs just under 7.75 lbs and it is very resonant and very loud acoustically.

It is in superb condition and from a smoke free home.

Gibson Custom Shop Historic Collection '56 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Brazilian Rosewood​

Took this in px against my 62 Strat, one of the very few from a run of Les Paul reissues made with Brazilian Rosewood Fretboards. These are highly sought after and go for big money, this one is priced very fairly and asking not much more than your standard Les Paul reissues of today on second hand market. It’s been on the forum before so I include the link to the original ad for full disclosure.
