She should have sold it way cheaper to Trogly who would have flipped it
for way more after cleaning it with Windex and changing the strings.
He would have swapped the Burstbuckers in from his ModShop leftovers because they're new.

Bonamassa probably had Trogly on his watch list so he can jump on a deal when Trogly lists something for too cheap which he knows nothing about.

Follow the links and you'll find the article that explains the bridge. Both the studs are snapped off, getting them out of the body without doing more damage will be one of the challenges that the restorer will have to deal with.

I'll like seeing it after restoration and cleaning.

Probably been posted already but just in case....
Ya... old "news" but this is a new article.
First time we've seen the valuation.
It was almost a year ago the store posted the video of the guitar, and indicated that it had been purchased by someone who would give it the TLC it deserved.

A few weeks later, JoeB posted a video about "Dirtyburst", confirming that he was the buyer.

I'm going to guess that the bass side stud is missing so nothing has kept the bridge from moving to that angle.
I don't think the bass side bridge post is missing. I can see the bass side thumb wheel, under the bridge. If there was no post, that thumb wheel would fall off.

This guitar is almost too good to be true, the way it looks appetizing and aged. The wood grain looks almost like spalted maple (but I can see it is not that). I hope he looked at it closely before spitting out the $190k.

I understand that if you have the means the you can get what you want and I absolutely love that he plays them but sometimes it just feels wrong that one person can have so many of something, i.e a fucking awesome guitar or whatever. And as I just typed that I had the thought that it’s only been my friends that have played my guitars so maybe I’m no different from any other collector, which I’m not.

The collection is not static.

He cares for them for a time, and then trades them, allowing someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy them.
Some, like the Explorers and Vs are probably a permanent part of his collection, but in a number of videos he has commented about "having to sell something to buy something"

He may be worth $20 million, but a lot of that money is tied up in his homes and his collection. Just his Laurel Canyon home probably accounts for a quarter of his net worth, and he has condos in New York and Memphis.
He's not "rent poor", but liquid assets are not making you money, and a lot of celebrities honestly can't just write a check for $50k on a whim.

I'd rather Joe gets the really collectible guitars than somebody who's going to stuff it in a museum, never to be played again and maybe never even SEEN again, or, maybe just as bad, go to someone who's going to carve his initials KH into it.

If Joe gets it, Joe is going to gig it, play it, add to its story, enjoy it, share it, use it for its intended purpose, and maybe it'll move on to another player at some point.

How many other original 'bursts are still being gigged and toured with? Out of the hundreds that are known to exist and documented? Two? Three? Maybe five at most? KH does use Greeny on tour. Billy Gibbons still tours with Pearly Gates. JB tours with...several bursts and a lot more.

I absolutely agree with this. I feel like this is a very significant redeeming factor. I also realize that without this forum I have no voice so take it for what it’s worth. Which may be nothing.

If Bonamassa wasn't such a - IMHO - boring player (I tried to watch an entire concert of his and barely got through 30 minutes of basically the same riff and "look at how cool I am" faces over and over), I guess I'd feel better about his "charity" work rescuing guitars of merit (historical or otherwise). I'm sure there are plenty here who will disagree, and that's what forums are for: sharing of opinions and learning from one another. I just can't listen to the guy, but appreciate that he doesn't let a great axe just rot away... I'd rather see someone like Warren Haynes snapping up these relics and taking them out when he plays with pretty much anyone who has a little extra space on the stage!

No it isn't. Published back in May when the videos you linked came out.

Bonnamassa is a money grabber,
$50,000 ($50k).... or in this case, almost $200k.

I didn't say he's struggling, he absolutely is not, but the extremely wealthy frequently do not have a lot in the way of liquid assets.
Part of the reason the wealthy are wealthy is because they don't spend money willy nilly, and they keep their money working for them making more.
