I just switched the stock compensated wraparound bridge for a badass style bridge on my satin finish jr. It looks terrible, but this guitar is tuned to E-flat and I wanted the intonation to be as good as I can get it. Well, it is spot on. I would 100% recommend these bridges to anyone who was having the same problem as me.

Do you notice any difference in the tone?

Doesn't look too bad to me. I've got an old Badass type bridge around here somewhere... maybe I should try it on my Jr.

I think whether it's ugly or not is up to the viewer. I personally don't mind the look of Badass or even TP-6 bridges.

That bridge allows far more control over intonation than the stock one, that's for sure. There's a reason why they became popular in the '70s. I think there's another similar bridge now that also allows individual saddle height adjustment...

Cool, I was thinking of getting the aluminum Pigtail for my satin Jr. but I'm in no hurry to change it out.

Yours doesn't look bad at all. :)
