She dominated other women early before the women trained like crazy and women's mama was getting off the ground. Now most have great trainers and aren't scared of her.

Body fat. Consequence of age. She lacks body speed because she can't carry the fat. Remember how Rocky trained to win his fights. Nowadays you have to do extreme training, otherwise you get powned.
Physically she lookex better this fight for about 3 seconds. And she is not yet 30 i dont think. The sport has simply passed her by. IMO she is not even top ten anymore

I wouldn't chalk Rousey's loss up to age because she is 29, whereas Nunes is 28.

many fighters will say the match is won or lost before they step in the ring/cage. Rousey had NO BUSINESS stepping into that cage with a fighter like Nunes, especially after all of Rousey's talk of retirement and suicide. Suicide talk is not confidence. She walked into the cage defeated. Nunes knew this, and she turned it into the 42 seconds we all saw.

A serious comeback attempt would have involved as least one or two fights before challenging for the belt. I believe there is no fight left in Rousey, and Rousey believes this as well. Her face and body language projected this. The reason she passed up the warm up fights and fought Nunes instead is because she knew she is finished, and figured she'd take a serious ass beating for one last big pay day.

In fairness, Holly Holm and Miesha Tate weren't exactly dominant champions in their short tenures.

You figure that's between $150 and 300K per year of income (from a well diversified, primarily equity portfolio), from now until the cows come home.

I'm sure she could at least double that annual income with a commentating gig, provided she is at least capable of speaking basic sentences.

I think she got the will to fight knocked out of her.

Some people think they're real badasses until the world reminds them no one is unbeatable.

She got her clock cleaned and realized she not at all as tough as she thought she was.

Confidence shattered. She's done.

I've got an acquaintance who's way into the UFC business. He's also competed in these strong man completions. Anyway, his take on all this is the sport caught up to and passed her by which shouldn't diminish her accomplishments.

Beats me, I don't follow this nonsense.

Watched it happen to Royce Gracie and others. To be a great UFC fighter you have to now fight like a UFC fighter and not a Judoka, boxer or wrestler.

yep.. I still watch it but the rules have made it its own style. it is no longer whose style is best its who can win under the rules. old way was better IMO.
