in 15 years of concealed carry, the thought never crossed my mind to use a firearm in anything but a deadly force situation, which this clearly isnt. I've been pissed, enraged even. Never once did I think assassinating someone was a good idea. Thats not even funny. Just to be clear on that. **** I say can be taken out of context all the time. Let DPF not be one of them. Love gun rights, but love responsible gun owners more. Too many gun owners arent. Thats why we have so many gun accidents, or murders. Neither is acceptable.

My post was slightly joking, but not entirely. A few shades less than purple.

I do think if the uber driver had been a cop, he could have done pretty much anything up to and including shooting her and there would be hordes of people defending him.

there are so many more variables when acting under color of law, too many for the scope of this thread other than simple acknowledgement the two are not the same.

Have any of you been following the Forcillo trial? This is the Toronto cop that shot an 18 year old who was brandishing a weapon and got convicted of attempted murder.

Point is, not really your problem. It's the aggressors problem. You were fending off an attack the best you can.
