My guess, based on personal experience, is that the holes in the headstock will probably be too small. Alot of the vintage tuners require smaller openings, 8mm (?), and the modern 10mm obviously wont fit. You can enlarge the holes, but BE CAREFUL. I also have personal experience in that area, bad experience!

Poon Master,

Get some Planet Waves Auto-Trim tuners. Ive put these in a couple of Epiphone guitars with no size issues. You do have to drill new pilot holes though for the set screw. Very easy though and pretty much idiot proof. You are the master of poon after all so it shouldnt be a problem..

Have you ever put them in an Epi with vintage-style tuners?

Well, first off, they aren't the best tuners ever. the low E, g, d, and b string constantly go out of tune. Secondly, they look out of place on my guitar

Typically tuning isn't the fault of the tuners, but multiple other reasons, including but not limited to the nut.

I have the Studio Deluxe as well, I like the look of the greenish tuners but the stock ones are bad now on mine. Granted, the guitar is like nine years old but I ordered the Grover's that look exactly the same. My tech recommended them and he is pretty good. He says that they should fit right on in place of the old ones. I will tell you when they get in if they are good or bad.

I put Grover lockers on my Studio in place of the stock Gibson Deluxe (Kluson style) tuners, and they dropped right in, no peghead reaming necessary. The Grovers only use one screw, but it happened to line up nicely with one of the screw holes from the factory ones.
