excuse my apparent ignorance and noobiness to this high tech world, but i upgraded from a snark to a chromatic tu3 tuner and like it quite well...when i can remember how to work it. However, i have never tried to check tuning on an acoustic or a solid body that hasnt been wired. certainly there must be a way to use it, but can't find the instructions, as i make a point to discard such nonsense immediately upon acquisition. Is there a way to use this thing acoutsically? after your belly laughs, I would welcome any resonse....even the ones that make fun of me. as a plan b, my wife is getting a new batter for my snark. thanks.

My Peterson tuner came with an attachment that has a clip on one end and a standard jack on the other.
It works on any tuner.

mobile app or a small vibration sensitive tuner, can be used on acoustics as well as electric, costs 12-14 $

DaTuner and Pitchlab lite are free and are good.for standard tuning. Pitchlab pro, allows you to save any tuning you like, including other instruments, such as : baryton guitar, 5-string banjo, ukulele, slide guitar, balalaika, 12-string etc.

^^^i wish you could borrow my ears for a few minutes...:). but really, im just locating a bridge on a new build and want to get it close so i don't have a horror story later. i have a clip on that i used, couple with my bad ears, did just fine. since i'm musically bankrupt, i try to get my tuning as close as i can with the tuner and let the owner walk it in. intonation is my biggest thing. i won't it right when it leaves. thanks to all
