I was talking to a GP who I give lessons to the other day and he recommends trying to catch this strain of swine flu as it's fairly mild. He reckons what they aren't telling everyone is that this will probably mutate and the next wave ( say next year will be the deadly one ). This was evident in the last big pandemic in the UK in the 1950's. Thousands caught the initial flu virus and most were ok, then the second wave hit about a year later and 20,000 died. Evidently if you catch the mild strain, you'll be imune to the second wave.
Saying that though, people with underlying health problems are at risk from either.
The other thing he said, was don't keep taking asprin etc. The body fights a flu virus with body heat and lowering your temperature with things like asprin only makes the virus thrive for longer. In other words..Sweat the bastard out.
Just a bit of trivia I thought some here may be interested to hear.
