Tremolo help needed

Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right section.

I picked up a 2014 Gibson Les Paul Standard recently

and I think I would like to add a tremolo to it

But I know absolutely nothing about them!

I know some people have Bigsby and others have Floyd Roses?

Obviously I would really prefer not marring my guitar with holes and scuffs

can you guys educate and direct me, would very appreciate your thoughts!

The new Floyd unit requires screw holes in the head stock for double locking (theoretically you could install locking tuners instead of adding the lock)

Tremolo is a volume modulation. Vibrato is a pitch modulation. A Bigsby or Floyd Rose are Vibrato's, not Tremolo's.
