Hey guys, hope you can help me out. At rehearsal today I turned the power on my amp waited a minute then switched off the standby, amp played for a few seconds then the pop fuse blows. Throw in a new fuse and same thing happens again.
What simple things can I check or should I just take it to my tech.

Thanks Joe :(

Be sure you have a speaker connected. Possibly bad power tube.

It needs to go to a tech.

Tried a different power cable and it was connected to the cabinet at the correct ohms. I'll try a different pwr tube and see what happens then off to the tech.
Thanks for the quick reply.

Watch the power tubes when you turn it on and see if either red-plates.

Install a new fuse, make sure you are using the proper cable for the speaker. Use a surge protector. That will help you to avoid any power spikes that can make a fuse pop. The amp turned into a fuse eater do have it checked out.

Pull the power tubes. Install a new fuse. Turn the amp on. Did the fuse hold? Yes? You have a bad power tube(s). No? You've got other issues.
