Hello All!
First post here,
So I’ve always wanted an Amber / Lemonburst type colour Les Paul and I’m finally at a point where I can afford a standard. I’ve always preferred to buy new, but the current 2020 line up doesn’t offer an Amber Les Paul. The closest is the Unburst but not exactly what I wanted. There is a lovely 2019 Amber for sale locally, but I’ve always been sceptical about buying second hand, and particularly during Covid.
Is there any indication Amber will be brought back to the line up? Either rumour or pattern of history? Or would I be best going for an older model?
Thanks all,

SG

Thanks for the quick reply! That looks lovely! I’m in the UK but might see if import is an option!

Hmmm, I'm not sure which items Sweetwater exports. How about a Slash appetite amber?

They do look good, but I’m wanting to keep away from artist models. Not against them, just never feel like it’s “mine”

Huh??? Okay...

And why not buying a used one? You can always try before you buy.

It’s a local private listing on eBay and current Covid restrictions don’t allow, it is looking like a used one will be the way forward though

Technically, the Les Paul is an artist’s model...

But instead of focusing on the name Slash, check out the specs and finish options before discounting them? The Appetite burst is a great finish that is pretty unique to that guitar (as far as current new offerings are concerned).

..I think that if someone reliable will buy for him in the states and ship it.. he will even spare some money at the custom as the good will be a selling between non businnes people and should be declared as "used"

The pic you attached in your first post is a Custom Shop amber burst. It should be better in quality and specs than the standard Gibson USA line of guitars that you can buy new right now, as long as the seller did not mess it up while in his ownership.

If you could buy it for equal or less than a new standard line Gibson USA Les Paul, I'd definitely get it.
