I'm 37 from County Durham in the Uk and a total newbie wanting to learn how to play. I fancy an Epiphone Les Paul, so I guess I have come to the right place.

Thankyou to everyone for giving me a very warm welcome Sorry its taken a while to reply but I've been mega busy with work and other stuff.

I dont speak for the people. Just trying to offer the thought that "if you like it, go for it".

I didnt worry for a second what other people might think when I chose mine, just went ahead and purchased the guitar that lept out at me and played well enough.

Anyway I have changed my mind on what I wanted and I have just placed my order so it should come tomorrow although I'm away until Friday

I have ordered a 2010 Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top in trans black, it's meant to be a limited edition, but as with most modern limited editions they tend to be limited to as many as they can sell

As you can see, it's got a mother of pearl pickguard and truss rod cover which 'may' get changed if I think they are OTT.

I'm proper excited and cant wait to get it on Friday
