Well, the brand new Jimmy Page Black Beauties (the signed edition of 25) are going for around $25,000.

are you talking new, ever made or resale value, or the value it would be if it came up for sale...

Prob one of the most valuable on the planet would be Paul McCartneys LH '60 Burst, or Greenys LP sold by Gary moore for a reputed $2million (shame if greeny wanted it back now...:naughty:)

I think it was $1M, but Wildwood would sell it for $2M?

Yeah I'm curious myslelf.
It doesnt have to be vintage or signature. you can also chime in of what you've got. Whats the most expensive Gibson you've own (past or present).

Thanks

GODDAMMIT.

I did it again. Someone necroposted and got me to post a legit answer to a dead question. Answer retracted.

I paid $75 for my first Les Paul in 1966 or 67. And yeah, it was an old one. Used by a guy who'd had a country and western band in the 50's, got married, had kids, and was now buying a "Beatle" guitar and amp for his son. The guitar and amp totaled about $1K. I was authorized to give up to a 20% discount for cash (and these guys always had mayonnaise jar money that smelled like loam) but he didn't know that. I told him I'd give him $275 trade-in for his guitar. He knew he'd paid that or less for it brand new, so he thought I was crazy. He paid the money, was a hero to his son, felt like he'd beaten the dumb kid at the music store. I put $75 in with the $725 he gave me, put the money in the till, told the owner of the store I'd bought the guitar from the guy with cash. He was thrilled because he didn't have a trade-in to sell, and thought those old clunker guitars were just junk, and I'm betting that the cash didn't make it onto the books. All in all, everyone figured it was a win.

So that may be one of the LEAST expensive Les Pauls ever...

also you ''cannot'' start a thread about a subject previously discussed. combine the 2 ''rules'' together and you have: ''what was previously discussed, cannot be re-discussed, necroposted or start a new thread about it. Just read what was written''. Fucking hilarious I say!:laugh2:

Well technically the OP question never got answered, so it should be still considered an open thread.
