Power section & speakers: Fryette Valvulator into 1970 Marshall 4x12 with H30's bass cones.

Guitar is a MIM 50's vintage strat.

Now the fun part , add Zevx , Box of Metal into an Instant Lo-Fi Junky run through Zvex

Loop Gate & your into getting into some serious mind bending stuff , IMO, OMMV.

money not so much . I have several Squiers in my collection that would say so . my modified vintage modified jaguar being one of my favorite guitars

time is the thing I'm always trying to get a handle on
Time and money was kind of a joke but it's also true for many many people,
searching for that elusive tone, that Slash tone, that woman tone,
reading, "visiting" stores, buying guitars, pedals, amps, selling back and trading,
buying again to finally establish some "tone base".
I've seen it often.

And yes, I do believe in MIM Fender's and Squier's!
:D

Man I love a tube amp turned up loud. But have also had a Randall 80's rg 80 which I recorded alot of stuff with. So beauty is in the eye of the beholder......I play through a Marshall tube amp right now and am going nutzo...

Tone= whatever you think it is IMHO

Tone = subjective perceived sound.
For me it is a Les Paul with PAF type pickups, 50s wiring and a Marshall JTM45 into Celestion greenbacks.
If has to be wild, I'll boost with an overdrive on moderate settings.

So basically: passive vintage output humbuckers, analog pedals, a tube amp, and practice. YMMV :)
