Tom is top shelf.

Any animosity towards the other forum(as stupid as that is) should NOT be directed at Mr. Wittrock. He is a gentleman and one of the best sources of info on Bursts.

Greg, do you know if he is member here?

Finally got around to watching these videos. Having read a lot about him and from him already it's nice to know he seems like a very nice guy. Of-course, his immense knowledge of the subject is undeniable.

Does anyone know if he ever comes over for any shows in the UK at all?

I like Tom. In the late '80s, I think 1987, I met up with him at the shop to get his opinion on a very early Esquire that belonged to my (then) wife's uncle (an instrument he still has). Tom was floored by that thing, oulled just short of decalring it some kind of prototype. Anyway, since we weer talking Teles, Tom brought out for me, among others, an early Tele Thinline ('68 or '69 w/ standard Tele pups) and a '69 Esquire Custom, the kind with the bound body. Tom just insisted I needed to buy that Esquire. I did and still have it. Thanks again, Tom!

I wish I had enough time to join your site, as well as doing many other things. It seems too easily to be overwhelmed these days.

Yes I have had the pleasure of speaking with Tom on the other forum, we both share a love of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and Gary Moore's blues era (for Tom at least).
He is very knowledgeable and stays out of the BS. I spoke with him by phone and made some copies of rare FM and GM DVD/CD's for him.
He has given me an open invitation to Third Eye when I can get there and it's on my bucket list for sure.
Once you understand him, it's cool, he has no time for fools, which unfortunately are growing in numbers, it's about the instruments. Tom doesn't even mention a Historic, they're just not Les Pauls to someone like him.

Good grief... Not only does he have some of the nicest guitars in existence, he also has the chops to back them up! What a cool guy.

He is a really cool guitar enthusiast, and he has provided insight into many Bursts that we could have never seen otherwise. :dude:

Great to have you here, with your knowledge and you unbelieveable burst source.
Tom, he's THE man. I've met him a few times in Germany, giging, jamming, talking and a bit drinking. He's a super friendly and funny person, hope I'll see him in may again

Seems like a dis to me;he is a nice guy but is wedded to the other site for some reason.Marketing 101?Why would an expert restrict their knowledge to 1 site?
