Tokai LS160 - Is this bridge too high?

When you need to replace strings next time, give top wrapping a try. Seems like a perfect candidate for it. (And it does look like the strings sit low in the saddles from the pics. A new bridge is pretty easy to come by).

Thanks all, yeah my Standard is top wrapped so I will do it on the Tokai as well. The action is good, I was just concerned the posts might bend.

Is this definitely a Tokai HLS-VB bridge though?!:

Those posts might start to lean with the TP screwed all the way down like that. The saddles are definitely cut overly deep, which can be okay from a sound standpoint, but isn't doing you any favors on getting the bridge down lower. If there's room for it (and it looks like there is) I'd be tempted to snag an extra set of thumbwheels and screw them down tight to the top as reinforcement. As others have said, there's nothing inherently wrong with the bridge being high, as long as it's still got enough travel to adjust w/o running out of post.
