I just completed removal of the frets on my Tokai LP and in a few areas the binding is slightly melted where the fret ends went over the binding (ivory colored) from the soldering iron heat. What can I use to fill in these small divots as I sand and radius the fretboard and binding?

Thanks,

George

I see that some guys use a melted binding/acetone slurry which hardens back up and can be shaped and sanded.

Thanks,

George

I would just carry on as normal. Once you sand and refret you won't see it...unless your new fret wire is narrower than the old ones. But who ever goes narrower?
