I broke a string today....Dammit!!!

Now I gotta wait until the morning to change the set, because I must have coffee when changing strings.
.....and I just realized I'm out of half and half.

Time for a trip to Waffle House....

I'm back from the store with more coffee and sundry items. Yay.
I ran low on windshield washer fluid on the way, so I picked up a gallon.

It was almost another dollar for the kind that is supposed to clean bugs, but since the impending cicada doom is almost upon us, I splurged.
Those things are like little flying dog turds.

Happy Corolla. (I think that 150MPH speedometer is a bit optimistic...)
That shit really does piss me off.
First you give me a speedometer that only uses 200 degrees of sweep.
Then you make it go to 140, even though the damned car is limited to 105.
So because you had to crunch the scale into 200 degrees, you only give me numbers at 0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, and 140.
OK, so it's better than the 80s when we had that BIG RED 55 top center on an 85mph scale.... But please... take the scale back to 120 so I can at least have an idea if I'm doing 65 or 75?

And while they're at it fix the great unknown of why speedometers are in even number increments based on tens when posted speed limits are based on fives (25, 35, 45, 55....).

Ours are all over the place.
35, 45, 55, and 65 are most common, but our top highway limit is 70, and it's not unusual at all to see 40 and 50.

Always gets me when there's signs on private property at 10.
Really????
10????
I've not noticed my '16 Corolla, but my old American cars the needle didn't move off the pin until you were at 15+

Listening to Zenyatta Mondotta while drinking coffee and changing strings.

Gonna work on some Taj Mahal tunes once I get this thing done.

That made me think. I haven't had to put windshield washer fluid in either of our cars since we moved to AZ nine years ago. Might check it out today to see if there's any still in there.

Well, I've never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it

We've got Fontucky... name reinforced when they built the Fontana NASCAR track.
I absolutely LOVED doing trackdays there on the AMA motorcycle track. I enjoyed going to Nascar races there also.

I'll never forget opening weekend.
I'd spent that week working on new intersections in Cathedral City.
I was drinking 5 gallons of water every day and only pissing once at 3am.
One of my suppliers came out to assist and ended up in the hospital with heatstroke.

Sitting at home watching the first race and they announced that temperature on track level was 140.

Ya... that's what it was like working on those intersections too.
No shade.... and even in the shade of the signal cabinet, I could not touch the metal parts of any of my tools.
Forget trying to use cordless tools, and the phone had to be kept in the cooler.
