A trip down memory lane… for some it wasn’t that long ago in the grand scheme of things.. of course over time prices do go up as every thing does..

Some stuff seem to do more so than others for whatever reason.

R7s and R8s are $2500
LP Junior is $750
American Strat is $950

Yet other items that are still produced are damn near the same price today…

My first brand new guitar was a EC-1000 and it cost me about $950. Which was a months pay for me at the time.. looking back at this.. the price hasn’t changed much.. about $150 vs double (LP Junior)

Even the range of Epiphones during this time is pretty much the same as it is now.. $500 for a LP Standard.. anyhow, it was fun to reminisce

This isn’t a poke at Gibson.. hell I’m even looking at getting back into the reissue world myself…

All relative- I bought my THREE Gibsons for peanuts in early 90's.
1974 Custom=$500
1980 STD-$600
1986 Sg=$400

I was working n sweatshops making $180 weekly- prices remain the same-remember when? When? When silver dollars were made of real silver...........I carry one of these in my pocket-keeps the wolf in me at bay.
