stone is there anything in the other cavity?

yours is defiantly not cherry...is it a Custom or a Classic?

LP Classic Gloss (if it was faded it would be "F" etc. etc.)???? show the rest of the guitar, that will help immensely.

I have seen some with 5-6 letters/numbers that also included the hardware/neck/finish.....

check the threads I linked, lots of good info, but I did not find these exact markings....

*** I will also say I have seen a couple that was marked for one thing and then ended up another.....especially the color/finish part.

Hi,

nope, cant see a thing in neck cavity

Usually "C"= chrome hardware
Then the g is probably "6" = 60s neck.
They usually write the finish in the neck cavity but since its black it
Mightve been painted over.

I fond the image. I remembered it totally wrong though. It's under the bridge, not the neck. And I doubt it to me regarding colors. Mine is painted Vintage Sunburst. LP must stand for Les Paul. But I've got LPTRW. Les Paul TRaditional Weight relief? I don't know really…

Wouldn't it be Les Paul Custom with Gold Hardware? Hence the LPCG? Scratch that... Should've looked at the photo...

What model and color Les Paul. Ya have to give us something to work with...

My guitar is a 2012 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro in Heritage Sunburst. I think the writing in the cavity means LPCG "Les Paul Custom Guitar"?

It's Les Paul Classic + Gloss (LPCG) of Les Paul Classic 60's neck profile (LPC6)
as the classic being discontinued and replaced by the Trad pro models..

for a les paul custom is usually marked with "LPC", no color/ paint codes. IMHO.

If it makes a difference... the writing is in both of the cavities of my Studio Fireburst.
