I have a 2012 Les Paul Traditional Pro and I found this when I installed pickup covers. Inside one of the pickup cavities someone had written LPCG, can anyone tell me what that means?
I bought the guitar new.
Thanks

Actually I've seen that written in a Les Paul before but I can't remember if it was in a Custom or a Standard... but I think it was inside my 2000 Custom Premium Plus. However, I can't check as I've sold that guitar. I assume the LP stands for "Les Paul" and I was guessing the C was "Custom" but that wouldn't make sense since your's in a Traditional instead of a Custom. Now I'm curious too :)

Send an email to Gibson customer service, they should be able to tell you.

I think this code is common to les pauls that are guitar center exclusive model. I don't know what it means but, I see this in those models. My trad pros have the same thing and they are both different colors.

It means you win the golden ticket. You and a guest get to go see Henry and spend the day touring the factory.

I am with Rich, Cherry Gloss

of course all of this is speculation as we do not know the color and hardware.

most of the time, these codes are indicators of color, finish, neck, and hardware etc..

the "6" that Stone refers to probably means "60's neck".
