That's almost an R9 top!
But alas, don't count it as 'the one' until you at least strum the first chord.

Thanks guys, it is killing me but the wait is worth the wait, I have played a Traditional before and have enjoyed it. As far as pots are concerned I have considered the Seymour Duncan Liberators solderless 500k pots but I'm not too sure as to what caps to go with.

And to answer the question if I was forced to take the Slash pups the answer is: no, I had bought them with plans to put them in my LP Studio along with the SD Liberators.

Awesome looking Trad, dude! That has a really nice top on it and I bet it'll scream with the Slash Alnico Pros in there too. Definitely one worth waiting for... there's nothing like a good Les Paul IMO.

If you really want to get the most out of those pickups, replace the pots with some 500ks and quality caps. I've got a 2001 Standard with that setup and it just destroys.

If it's a new guitar, I believe most have said the quality of the pots and caps of late has been quite good.

See how it sounds after the pickup install; if the pots don't have a good taper, or don't clean up when rolled down, then there's a definite improvement to be made. We have vendors here that can help. :D

Trust me, she screams alright and screams guuuuuuuud! ;) She and I are getting aquainted very good. In fact I think theres really good chemistry and evolving into some nice mojo.

Oh trust me, I more than anyone else want these bad boys in there. But as it turns out this douchebag withheld some key description on the guitar that I have paypal on it to get partial refund on it to repair the fret(s), the 16th fret has a gouge under the B string.

She sounds pretty good tho, altho when rolled down it CAN sound better, clean sound still sounds a bit dirty. I'll be looking for some vendors soon.
