this looks like a 52 conversion but they are listing as a burst?

He did mention the bigsby for the holes, but do 57s have the Gibson logo so low?

I wouldn't classify this as a conversion. It's just a refin. Nothing had to be routed and the neck wasn't reset. The original serial number would have been lost during the refin (looks like it was a darkback from the control cavity shot). A '57 goldtop would be up around $200k and a recent refin would bring that number down considerably, but it does appear to be an old factory refin so that price might be close to its real value, provided the 'story' is accurate.

I thought 'Sweet Cherry' was a custom order rather than a re-fin?

Very well - my point is simply that Gibson did do "custom" finishes, so the refin is theoretically possible...

I would have picked up on that had I read a little closer! ;)

There have been a few documented bursts before 58, including a prototype in 1951. I think a few in 56 as well.
