I've talked to Zach online and he's a very cool guy and was happy to share his experiences with me regarding the Soldano SLO 30. His band is very cool too.
Yeah his stuff is really fantastic. Where did you chat with Zach, YouTube, Instagram, somewhere else? I tried chatting with him about the Badlander vs Triple Crown on YouTube but he didn't reply to me (not that I blame him).

I found his email somewhere on one of his social media platforms and sent him an email. I would guess he gets fewer emails, so my message probably stuck out more there vs. on YT or IG.

I suppose that if you're tired of fighting a super-bright Marshall (that thread about the SV20 being too bright reminds me of this), then Friedman amps will sound great to you.
Only the '85 2204 w/ 6550's seems a bit too bright to me, even with greenbacks...but the Creamback/G12H-30 Anni's totally solved that. All the other Marshall's I have are great. That said, they all sound pretty close to my ears. I was just thinking it would be fun to try something different.

*Side note: I pulled out my 2500 SLX and played it through the Creamback/G12H-30 Anni cab and meh. Sounded good but not really inspiring. This was my favorite cab/speaker set up with everything so far. So I plugged it into the Greenback/G12H-30 Anni cab and it totally came alive. Easily on par with the 2204's. It's ridiculous how much of a difference speakers can make.

Makes me wonder how many people dismissed an amp after playing it through their cab or a store cab and it was just a bad match. Or maybe even the guitar/pickup was a bad match.

IMHO, everyone needs to buy as many amps, cabs, speakers, guitar and pickups as possible. You'll never know otherwise. LOL.

I totally agree about speakers and cabs, they make a huge difference. I kind of want a Friedman 2x12" now because I used my Mesa Vertical 2x12" at rehearsal and while it sounded great, the BE-100 DLX made a massive "T" on top of that cab! One thing that I don't like about it is the physical size, I don't think there's much excuse for a 30" wide amp head these days, but oh well.

Before taking the stage at a biker bar gig Saturday afternoon. I should have some better pictures soon, but for now thought that I'd share this one. The BE-100 DLX did great! I'm loving it so far. I don't yet know if I love it as much or more than the Mesa TC-100; the Friedman has a few quirks and is less versatile, but what it does well it does really well.

I can't believe that I'm on the Friedman bandwagon after all of these years of disappointment, but this one really has the aggression that others were missing for me.

My Pink Taco held its own with a loud drummer and full stack - playing bass player on the weekend. It has the right mid frequency to poke through the mix.

Henfling's in Ben Lomond, ever been? I live about two miles away from it.

I'm on vacation without WiFi (just intermittent phone data) but I might post video clips later.

Yea, I was in there once a million years ago. I thought it looked familiar. Right on Hwy 9.

Well I only have some iPhone clips, but here are a few little recordings to give you an idea of the sound. I don't know how to embed videos from Google Drive, unfortunately:

The person recording cut off right as my epic solo started at the end there .

Funnily enough after complaining about the lack of aggression, etc earlier, I ended up putting the Response switch to the regular BE mode position (not the most aggressive or bright) and the C45 switch off. The other switches were set up to be pretty bright, but I could have gotten it a lot more aggressive if I wanted. The gain wasn't really all that high either, Sat switch off also. That lead tone for the Say it Ain't So solo sounds just right to me, it's the HBE channel with gain around 6, a Carbon Copy delay in the loop, and a Boss GE-7 set completely flat but with a slight level boost in the loop.
