24 years old - at Taco Bell?
And he's not the manager?

Perhaps he made some vocational errors in addition to the many social errors I imagine have dogged his adult life.

Or maybe he got laid off from a better job and is working wherever he can to earn a living which is better than collecting welfare. I respect anyone for having a job, no matter what that job is.

His job isn't the issue.
His behavior is - and he's shown his limitations in judgment and/or people skills.
I doubt he works the front counter where customer interaction takes place.
Even a fast food manager would fear the possibilities...

As far as giving a 24 year-old "credit" for having a job?
You mean, like he's not supposed to be gainfully employed?

Sorry Rich, I have a 22 year-old myself - my analysis stands.
Disagree if you must.

 :D

Nothing like committing a felony crime to prove your love to some lucky little girl...

This guy needs a bit of psych therapy. That, and for somebody to come along and pop him in the nose. Stupid beast!

Like Homer's "silent" thinking on the Simpsons maybe?

:laugh2:

Yeah... Not right in the head

I won't be bagging on him for working at Taco Bell though... I'm thinking I may go and apply... Probably more interesting job than Walmart Greeter... And hell, might find some cute little honey to handcuff myself to.

I am sure that our buddy Jason saw that as one of the more obvious perks of the Taco Bell experience...

Lol.

I play guitar man, no need for handcuffs. I need a teflon spatula to get the skank off me. :D

Good for you, man. My old lady just tells me to turn the effing amp down so she can watch American Idol.

Always had his special brand of salad dressing in the cooler with his name on it. Once I heard him accuse others of using HIS salad dressing, but he didn't know who it was...just that it looked like some was missing. :hmm: From that day forward, he would let everyone know upfront that he spit in HIS bottle of dressing so that nobody would borrow it.

In days of yore, he'd have joined the Army:

No argument from about the guy not being all together right in the head, at least when it comes to social graces. My point is that he does have a job, even if it isn't a particularly great one but, considering that you can put 10 people in a room together and chances are that at least one of them is unemployed, he's one of the other nine.

I've worked plenty of menial jobs in my time - from picking tomatoes to janitor to landscape laborer to forklift driver - before I got to where I am and, even though they were far from glamorous gigs, they were honest jobs and that creep of a kid has/had an honest job too. I think it's wrong to make fun of him or anyone else for what they do for a living. A job is a job and they're not sucking money out of you or me because they do have a job no matter how low level it may seem to you. You mentioned a while ago that you grew up in a family that made it's living in oil for several generations; maybe you were born with some sort of silver spoon in your mouth or maybe you weren't. All I know is that I put in my dues doing crap work for crappier pay - it sucks and it's hard - and I know and haven't forgotten what it's like to have to struggle for little money so the guy who digs ditches gets my respect.

He's lucky she didn't beat the living sh*t out of him, pop out his eyes, stomp his balls, etc.

Women don't tend to like crazy sh*t like that (unless they ask for it, lol.)

he's lucky she didn't go off like a wild cat on a leash.

Would've served him right if she had.

....kinda wish she had.

But... what if he's into that... I know I am...:naughty:
nah... but srysly restraining order.

My "allowance" hinged on my duties with trash, mowing, shoveling snow from First grade onward.
I was doing farmwork at 13 before I started high school - to work for somebody besides my folks.
Did menial tasks, mowing, painting fences, learned vehicle maintenance at our shop beginning at 10.
Busted my ass before I was old enough to drive - and THAT was at 14.
Worked in an auto parts warehouse in high school, did deliveries in a 150 mile radius as needed.

Paid cash for two cars while in high school.
The one thing I wanted more than anything else was to be out of my parent's house - and STAY out.
Best thing I ever did - at 16 - and still finished high school.

Did crane work for a couple years, decided to go to college.
Couldn't afford it - and refused my parents' help so I dropped out.

Worked night shift in a convenience store AND days cleaning tank trailers.
80 hours per week - BOTH jobs were minimum wage - for six months.
Bought my first wife a nice engagement ring, and moved to Texas for a crane job.

Yeah, I also finished concrete and did warehouse work when I could find it.

Once I got a steady crane operator gig in Houston, the money got MUCH better.

:applause:

Yeah, I hear ya.
And I usually don't do it either.
Felt no twinge of guilt this time though... :D

You mentioned a while ago that you grew up in a family that made it's living in oil for several generations;
Yes.

maybe you were born with some sort of silver spoon in your mouth or maybe you weren't.
Nope.
My Mom bought my clothes.
Sometimes I got a little cash for gas money.
That's about it.
My cars were ancient.

In my years on cranes I worked with every imaginable trade and craft.
Saw unbelievable stuff - I have a lifetime of "no sh!t?" stories from it.

In chemical plants, refineries and power plants, I worked with EVERY vendor on site.
I was on the safety team, and the operations liaison for the scope of the job.
High tech stuff, proprietary stuff, heavy equipment, etc.
Also labor gangs wielding shovels.

I respect them too, as long as they don't do anything stupid that forces me to remove them from the site.
The Taco Bell dipsh!t?

He would have to go.
