Any other major Explorer fans out there? Post yours!

I went from all Explorers to a mix of Explorers, 335's and LP shaped guitars but overall I personally just think Explorers feel, sound and play better. Seems they are back to my #1 spots again gigging. Add in I'm pretty tall at 6'4 and they just fit and hang better.

I think they're super badass looking but I've never played one.

If ya want a little different take on one... I highly recommend the LTD Snakebyte... I have a white one and I love it...

You should go for it IMO. Explorers are just flat out awesome. They feel, play and sound HUGE!
I like the White/Gold Lazy Hale and the Explorer Custom. The "T" looks nice and it's much MUCH more affordable.

I owned one of those for a while but just couldn't gel with it and ended up selling it. They are not bad guitars, just not for me personally.

Ive owned 3 Explorers in the past, currently I have none. They are by far my favorite guitar to play. They are very comfortable and for me i can hang one fairly low and still be able to play it.

I first liked the Ibanez Destroyers that Adrian Smith & Phil Collen played. Then when Metallica starting getting nation wide recognition I started seeing Hetfield with his white 84. That guitar had me hooked.

I'm probably going to look onto getting either Lizzy Hale white explorer or Bill Kelliher Golden Axe.

I never liked pointy guitars except for the Flying V. I thought Explorers were a bit extreme. Now, I don't mind if I ever have a V; I'd rather have a 2018 Explorer in Antique Natural. Maybe when Gibson Month at Long & McQuade rolls around next year...

The only thing I personally do not like about the 2018 Explorers is the stock pickups. IMO Burstbuckers do not do them justice.

IMO go for the Gibson Lizzy Hale over the Ltd. Kelliher, unless you are going to shell out the mega money on the ESP version these days.

Just personally have never gelled with the Ltd. models over the ESP models. Such a huge difference IMO.
