Got a buddy hosting a Labor Day long weekend party with a BBQ competition followed by bands on the back deck. Going to do my best to do it up right. The only thing that would be better would be if I were in one of the bands playing but I'll have to settle for being in the crowd.

Unfortunately, my buddy's place is nearly 2 hours from me.

My job is about to put me on weekend shifts starting at the end of September. I'll see how life looks then and maybe look into getting something going.

I'll have to work every weekend but have been at the company long enough to have a lot of holidays per year. Should be able practice during the weekdays and just book off random weekends.
