I use to have a VOS 57 Custom with a lovely thick neck.
Which other Les Paul share that neck size?

If the 57 custom shares the same thick neck as the R7 goldtop, then nothing. R7's have the thickest neck of anything pretty much - maybe juniors with the bat neck might be close.

The 2015 traditionals are the closest I have played to the R7 necks.

I'm a beefy neck guy. I have a bunch of Musikraft custom ordered necks with fat profiles. Since I already loved them when I started getting the LP itch (after 30 years of playing) I went with 50's profile on a 2012 Trad +. I have 2 57 RI's that have great necks, BB7 and R7, both are very similar but the R7 may have a little more fillness if any.

My 2000 R9 has the thickest neck I've ever played... (thicker than a '09 Goldtop Trad and a 68 RI LPC I used to have...)

Dont the 68RIs have thick necks?

And dont the R4s have those baseball bat necks?

I played a Jeff Beck signature at Gruhns last year and I could barely get my hand around the neck it was so thick

I've got a 2014 Traditional that has the thick 50's profile neck.

My 2010 Traditional LP has a very comfortable 50s style neck. When I was trying a few out before buying it I immediately preferred it to the asymmetrical profile of the Standards or the thinness of one of the SG models I tried. The '52 reissue Tele that the LP replaced also had a baseball bat neck which I loved (just not as much as the Les Paul). Of distant relevance, my Japanese Strat has a hard V profile which makes it the most comfortable of the five that I've owned. I dig bigger guitar necks

I'm a thick neck fan too and my R8 and '60 Special VOS have huge necks. I love em, but lately, I've taken a liking to slimmer necks... hm...

Out of all of my guitars the thickest neck I own is on my 2010 Studio 50's Tribute. Half of a baseball bat but it fits my hand like a glove.

Typically, the R8 historic reissue has the biggest neck.
Thank you. That has been standard knowledge I thought. Of course they all vary some. And later year R8s (2013 and later) are not as fat as previous years. My 2005 is huge..need to measure it some time.

My Axcess is pretty fat. Certainly fatter than 59.

My R9---fat neck.
My R6---makes the R9 resemble a tongue-depressor-thin '60s neck by comparison.

I've tried all those models of varying years, and the LP that had the thickest neck of the lot was a 2013 LP Special 1960 single cut.
