According to a whole lot of people, the successful Artemis launch is good news for SpaceX -- the scuttlebutt is that the political wonks that be have delayed FAA approval on SpaceX's launch until AFTER Artemis had made it into space. It's likely that FAA approval for SpaceX will be fast tracked now that NASA has wiped the egg off its face.

And no attempt to recover the SRBs, which were also reusable on the shuttle, though I don't believe these lower sections had flown before.

When I explain this to people, I just get a blank stare...then they start saying how awesome SLS is.
