New Jersey Cops May Have Solved Case Of Thief Who Craps In Backseat Of Victims

New Jersey cops may have cracked the case of the thief who has been burglarizing vehicles and defecating in the backseat of the ransacked cars.

Hadith Caesar, 18, was nabbed Saturday after a witness called cops to report that he had spotted a suspicious person inside an auto parked in a neighbor’s driveway. Armed with a description provided by the witness, Carteret cops arrested Caesar, who had pedaled away from the burglarized car on a mountain bike.

When the vehicle’s owner examined the car, he discovered that his belongings had been strewn about the vehicle. Additionally (and repulsively), the man found an, um, fresh pile of feces in the backseat.

Police are now probing whether Caesar was responsible for two prior Carteret auto burglaries that included the thief defecating in the ransacked vehicles. Caesar, pictured in the above mug shots, is being held in the Middlesex County jail in lieu of $15,000.

Caesar has been charged with theft and harassment. The latter count refers to the alleged backseat detailing since New Jersey criminal statutes do not specifically address automotive defecation.
