The VA cut my program from funding..

Hundreds of us got dropped with no notice.

A couple of flight schools got busted for abusing GI Bill benefits. The writing was on the wall that we'd come under scrutiny, but this blindsided us.

Most of the people in the program rely solely on the housing allowance from the GI Bill. So now we're scrambling to stay enrolled so we don't end up homeless. We're all halfway through ratings. We've put a lot of time and effort into a program that we can't afford to finish.

I wish I could really tell you how I feel about that, but A.) I don't want you're thread to get locked/nuked, and B.) I've never been banned, and I don't intend to start now.

They should have grandfathered it in, at least until the end of the semester.

When I'm back on my feet we're gonna get loaded. Well I'll be the designated driver so you can get loaded.

sorry it got cancelled on you but it wasn't like this was out of the blue.. I heard talk about investigations into this back at least one year ago..

No way to stop them from changing the rules while playing?
The law protects us pretty well over here in the Netherlands.

Usually we have something like a "overgangsregeling" (transitional policy) to protect people who already use a program ("who already signed a contract" so to speak).

If you had to contribute as well (partial bills etc.) take a lawyer.

Typical badly written bill passed to gain favor with Vets and their families administrated by the VA which couldn't manage itself out of a wet paper bag.

OR, transfer to ISU's aviation program and come back to Indiana-- They just announced a new grant/program that will focus on unmanned vehicles as well as their conventional programs. Little ISU has a well respected aviation program--

Best of luck. I've been the the VA system 35 years and it's an up hill battle. But your problem is that if the flight schools have Been abusing the system,(which i know nothing of,) then your battle is with them..not the VA.

So I got an update. The problem is they operate Fixed wing and Helicopter.

There has to be no more than a 85% Veteran 15% Private funded split.

The fixed wing program passed the audit. The helicopter was 100% veteran so they cut it for everyone.

I got re-admitted into another university. I'm picking up my Engineering degree where I left off.

Well, Marco Rubio is running, so his office may try to help, it would look good (unless the fraud scares him away.)
Bill Nelson is the other senator. Not up for re-election.
