Bacchus classic from wulfman just arrived

I'll have pics up in a few, but I can see why Momose sits higher in the line. Mind you it's like comparing a rolex vs tudor. Both extremely high quality but there is more time and attention to insignificant super small details on the momose.

The nut is beyond perfect vs the perfect on Bacchus. Hard to describe, it is the 2nd best I've seen ever (the 1st was on a Bacchus sg I sold regretably)

Fret end dressing and tang filing at the bottom where it overlaps the binding is cleaner on the momose.

Both have a similar neck profile but the Bacchus feels a touch better.

Prefer the pickups in the Bacchus vs the momose beano

The paint on the momose is of higher quality in application and finishing. There is an oddity in the top of the Bacchus where there appears to be a clear coat seam in the center, yet the grain appears to make this a 1 piece top. I'm also seeing some evidence of slight orange peel on the bacchus so perhaps it was masked and re-clear coated. We are talking nearly imperceptible here btw.. like you are going to go cross-eyed and break your nose looking for it.

Some gorgeous timber as well all around.

Just some initial observations since I have them side by side.

I think that the neck on the Bacchus is fatter than the Momose, the Momose is just perfect, apart from the pickups. The Beano pickups are reasonable in the Korinia V but not suited to the LP.

I think it's fatter as well which is why I prefer it over the momose.

Here's a cool one I received a couple of weeks ago. Bacchus BLP-120 Live Road from 1999 in a natural plaintop finish with gold hardware. I bought it largely because I have no experience with Bacchus guitars, though I have owned Momose and Seventy Sevens. I wanted to see how it compares with other top notch LPs. I'm assuming that it will be no surprise to anyone that it is a fantastic example of a single cut. Plays with ease and the original Bacchus pickups are surprisingly nice. Nothing significant to point out or complain about.

There is a little clouding in the lacquer around the headstock and body back (mainly on the edges). It's not really noticeable from a couple feet away and has no affect on feel. No telling what caused it.

Wow! I can never find a Japanese Exrubato when I'm looking :( I waited too long to grab one while they were still Japanese made.
Seventy Seven guitars are not Japanese made anymore?
