Yeah, I don't know why that is. I saw that happening with a lot of ebay links, lately. Maybe they've done something to prevent direct linking to their listings?

Ive only seen linking problems in this thread. The Epiphone version still works fine. But for this one you have to search for the listing #. Hopefully it's just this post only.

Legit. Fair Price? I couldn't tell you. The seller doesn't offer much info on features, so it's up to you to decide ho badly you want it. :laugh2: At least it's priced better than the Page #2 LP.

I want it pretty badly. I've been watching them lately and they seem to hover around in the low to mid 4k range. I emailed the owner to get more pics and details on it. In the meantime, I'm going to use the glorious search feature of this site to learn more about the JP signature models.

THanks,

Btw, I found the ultimate thread here about the JP LP releases:

Superduper.

Good stuff! Thnx. According to the link you posted, unless it's in MINT condition, it's not worth the $4K. When you go to buy it, do some bargaining.

Somewhere in the thread further down, there was some disagreement over the values. The OP stated that he got his prices from the Electric Guitar Bluebook, so they may have been a little off. I've consistently seen them going for over 4k on ebay in good condition. I guess the values he has are a bit outdated.

This should be a sticky.

It would suck to buy a fake LP

Buying a fake saves you some coin, and puts some coin in the pockets of a poor little chinaman somewhere instead of the pockets of the capitalist infidels at gibson. PLENTY of people on this board have knowingly bought fakes, mostly out of curiousity I would imagine.

It looks like the cavity (same Gibson pots/wiring, and control plate) of my LP Classic, so your good. Pics of the whole guitar are also helpful when trying to check for authenticity though.:thumb:
